Predicting the Market, NAR’s Economic Analysis

Dr. Jessica Lautz serves as deputy chief economist and vice president of research at the National Association of REALTORS®, where focuses on analyzing trends for both NAR members and housing consumers. Since joining NAR in 2007, she has become one of the industry’s most respected voices on the housing market.

At NS3, she will deliver critical insights into the current and future state of real estate, including:

  • Home sales activity and mortgage rate outlooks
  • Price trends, job growth and migration’s effect on housing
  • Evolving buyer and seller expectations
  • The shifting demographics of today’s housing consumer

Her expert analysis is sought after by major media outlets and policymakers alike—she has even testified before Congress on behalf of NAR.

In addition to her role at NAR, she serves as an industry fellow at Nottingham Trent University, mentors real estate students, and supports nonprofits such as the Food Recovery Network and Cake4Kids. She has been recognized by HousingWire’s Women of Influence and RISMedia’s Newsmakers for her leadership and impact on the industry.

Dr. Jessica Lautz holds a doctorate in real estate from Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom, a master’s degree in public policy from American University and undergraduate degrees in political science and law and justice from Central Washington University.
